He began his meditation in Bijapur on the platform of a minaret, seated on an old cannon, and meditated there for nine months without interruption. He decided to choose his own path and left everyone in Bijapur to return to his land. He agreed with them, but repeated that it should be possible to go beyond meditation. His fellow disciples disagreed with Shri Siddharameshwar Maharaj, saying that their master, Shri Bhausaheb Maharaj, said nothing like that. In 1920 while he was on tour, he had the idea that one must go beyond meditation because it is only a first step to know the Ultimate Reality. In 1918, he renounced the world and joined his four brothers’ disciples in order to popularize the teachings of his master.
